Ringo Week: The Teacher

There are a lot of stories coming out about what a good teacher Ringo to those around him. Below is his article to Wizard's How To Draw Vol. 1 (which I know was reprinted from an issue of Wizard I had)


It's pretty telling about the kind of artist Mike Wieringo was, that in a book that feature articles like "Sex Appeal" by Michael Turner, Ringo's article was about storytelling. I love the sequence above, and how it deals with time - the way that 3 panels can tell the same thing as 6, and how the 6 panels slow time down. It's a neat thing that only comics as a medium can do, and here is one of the masters demonstrating it for you.
